MARIAH'S SINGLE SALES DOCUMENTATION
1994: Mariah was presented with an award for sales of over 55 million albums and singles worldwide, (Estimated: 45 million albums and 13.7 million singles)
1998: Mariah said herself in an interview with Vibe Magazine that Emotions sold about 10 million records worldwide (when artists say 'records' they usually mean albums and singles, Mariah said she sold 150+ million albums and singles in 2001, which we know were albums and singles). Emotions officially sold 8 million albums, so she sold 2 million singles from the Emotions album.
2001: At the signing of Mariah's contract with Virgin/EMI records and Mariah's official site during that era, Mariah had sold more than 150 million albums and singles. (Estimated: 117.5 million albums and 37.8 million singles) worldwide.
2005: Mariah said herself in an interview with CNN's 'Showbiz Tonight', that she sold 30+ million records with from one album ( Music Box). **Click to listen**.
