Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are excited to share their happy news

"We're expecting in the spring," says a beaming Mariah Carey. And while she never thought she'd ever be a mom, now that she and hubby Nick Cannon, are having their first child, after suffering a miscarriage last year, she couldn't be happier.

"She's just so grateful that she and Nick finally are having tehir dream fulfilled," confides a source close to the superstar. "She is being so careful with her body because she just wants her baby to be healthy and happy. She plays classical music and she's reading to the baby. She is focused on teh baby more than herself."

Plus, as Nick says, "It's brought us closer together." His pal tells OK!: "He's a great husband. He's bringing her Chinese food that she craves."
